yungblud feat steven tyler | ozzy tribute at the vmas

At the 2025 MTV VMAs, a tribute was held for Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away earlier that summer. The performance brought together Yungblud, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt for a medley of Ozzy’s most iconic songs, including Crazy Train, Changes, and Mama, I’m Coming Home.

Green Wall Designs created the screen content visuals for the tribute. We custom built a gothic cathedral environment inspired by Ozzy’s iconography, complete with bat gargoyles, skulls, and dark architectural motifs. The entire environment was modeled and rendered in Houdini, giving the performance a visual language that matched the scale and intensity of the music.

Our goal was to create visuals that honored Ozzy’s legacy, reinforcing the atmosphere of each song while supporting the live band on stage. The design connected the tribute’s energy to both the audience in the arena and viewers watching the broadcast.
